It's been a busy few weeks, S.S.W. readers! Here are a few highlights:
- My latest exhibition, Reinventing Italy’s Decorative Arts: Velvets and Glass from the Interwar Era, is now on view at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The exhibition features Italian costumes, textiles and glassworks by artists Maria Monaci Gallenga and Vittorio Zecchin and companies Venini S.p.A., Cappellin & C., and Zecchin and Martinuzzi. Explore it online here.
- Coinciding with this exhibition, I discussed Maria Monaci Gallenga's career and designs on the Cooper-Hewitt Museum's "Object of the Day" blog. Read my entry here.
- Lastly, I had the pleasure of being interviewed as an emerging arts leader by the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance. In the profile, I talk about my background, current position and the future of the curatorial field. Read it here.
