Although their exact origin is disputed, slip-on loafers have been American casual style staple since the mid-twentieth century. The shoes are not only very popular here, especially with East Coast prep school kids and on college campuses, but also in Italy, where they are worn for both business and pleasure. That said, it's perhaps unsurprising that the loafers are the focus of Italian designer Chiara Ferragni's three-year-old shoe line. Best known for her whimsical, critter-covered loafers, Ferragni has unveiled two new fun styles for Christmas. Covered in sparkling glitter and lipstick or blinking eye patterns, and trimmed with rich metallic leather, the festive loafers have definitely put me in the holiday spirit -- and hopefully will leave you in a holly jolly mood, you too.
