J. Crew cargo pants, UNIQLO top (also seen here), BCBG collar necklace, Ray Ban sunglasses, Coach Willis bag (available here), Kors by Michael Kors sandals
Cargo pants were introduced by the British Armed Forces in 1938, by paratroopers who used their large pockets to store radios and ammunition. The pants were later worn by American soldiers during World War II, and became popular for ready-to-wear in the 1990s, when baggy versions were de rigueur. Cargo pants have slimmed down considerably with the shift to all things skinny over the past few years, a look I have grown to love. Although I hate to play favorites with my clothes, my J. Crew skinny cargo pants rank high on my lists of best loved and best priced pieces. I wear these comfy sale rack steals (which I picked up for just $7.00!) weekly from spring through fall.
