Hollywood's most glamorous awards show has come and gone...which means it's time to dish about all of the red carpet styles! This year's red carpet did not disappoint. There were so many great looks that we had a hard time picking our favorites... but we managed. Here are our top 5 picks!
L.: Everyone has been talking about Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence's Dior Haute Couture ball gown, but I think Charlize Theron trumped JL style-wise. Her Dior gown's sleek shape flattered her amazing figure rather than overwhelming it, à la Lawrence's dress. It looked especially fierce with her pixie haircut and bold Harry Winston diamond bangles.
L.: Jennifer Garner looked ravishing alongside husband Ben Affleck on the red carpet. Both actors wore Gucci. In a sea of white, cream and metallic gowns, Garner's boysenberry dress was like a breath of fresh air. What a beautiful hue! And how amazing is that frothy silk train?! I love the Art Deco-inspired Neil Lane necklace she wore with it, which contrasted her gown and loosely-styled updo.
C.: Let's face it -- Everyone has loved Jessica Chastain's old Hollywood Oscars look. Not that I disagree with them. Her light bronze Armani Privé gown screamed "screen siren," and paired well with her softly waved hair and vintage Harry Winston baubles.
L. & C.: Oscar night was Anne Hathaway's night. We love her Audrey Hepburn-esque short hairdo, and think it paired so well with her 1960s-inspired pale pink Prada gown. The gown's pointed chest darts have been criticized by some, but we think they accentuated Hathaway's shape. Not only is the collar-skimming neckline very flattering on her, but the low cut back shows off her toned physique.
C.: We can't talk about toned physiques without talking about Stacy Keibler. George Clooney's better half chose a beaded Naeem Khan gown for the red carpet, which fit her like a glove. (Surprise presenter First Lady Michelle Obama also wore a Khan gown, which was equally figure hugging -- and fabulous -- on her.) I love this Deco-inspired gown. Did you know that those beaded swags are actually individually applied sequins? Amazing!
