If you’re a fashionista on a budget, then you may not always be able to afford a brand new
designer swimsuit each
season. But if you play your cards
right, you can still look as sizzling as the sun! The solution?
The mix and match swimsuit trend!
Keep these tips in mind and you can create your own unique beach-chic
look.

Prints + Solids
Mixing a printed swimsuit separate with a solid separate is
probably the most common (and chicest!) ways of mixing and matching. The key to making it look like it’s on
purpose is to choose a solid colored bottom that is featured in the print. For example, if you have a pink and yellow
floral print bottom on top of a black base, pair it with a solid-colored top in
pink, yellow or black. By sticking to
the print’s color palette, your swimsuit separates will look like they were a
match made in heaven!
Solids + Solids
Another way to mix and match is to pair solids with
solids. You can usually get away with
black on black and white on white, especially if the swimsuit separates are
from the same brand and year. Regardless
of the hue, always try your separates on in a sunny room and if it looks good
to you, then you’re good to go! Over the
past year or so, I’ve definitely been noticing a trend in mixing and matching
solid swimsuit separates—women everywhere
are pairing up separates in contrasting solid colors and creating a cool
colorblock-inspired look! Think citrus
and fuchsia or orange and pink—the bolder the combo, the better!
Prints + Prints
Finally, this last mix and match swimsuit look is strictly
for the gal who likes to stand out! Over
the past few years, the hottest designers have been creating swimsuit sets that
feature juxtaposing prints and patterns to create fashion-forward unique
looks. Now you can do the same without
spending a penny! Try mixing floral
prints with paisley prints, stripes with polka dots, animal prints
with tribal prints, you name it! All
eyes will be on you and you’ll definitely
be the belle of the beach!
This season, whether you’re rummaging through your closet or
opting to splurge on just one swimsuit top or bottom, keep these mix and match
swimsuit tips in mind!
