Kevin and I had an action packed weekend. In between celebrating our nephew's second birthday and searching for apartments, we squeezed in some retail therapy at Franklin Mills, an outlet and discount shopping mall in Philadelphia. Among other stores, we scoured the racks at Last Call Neiman Marcus for great buys; it was in the shoe section that I encountered Chie Mihara's fabulous footwear. Launched in Elda, Spain in 2002, the label is known for comfortable, vintage-inspired heels.
Of course, comfort comes at a price, and Chie Mihara shoes are no exception. Most pairs retail for about $400.00 at stores like Neiman Marcus and Anthropologie. As luck would have it, Last Call had Chie Mihara's multi-colored suede Quory sandals in my size for... under $100.00! (They are available online from $214.00 to $290.00 as well.) They were still a bit of a splurge, but worth every penny. They are hands down the most comfortable shoes in my closet!
Like the idea of comfortable heels for under $100.00? Check out Chie Mihara's equally-festive suede pom-pom Troya sandals, on sale for $92.63 at Amazon.com.
