I am very excited to share that my first e-book, The Miser’s Purse, was released this week! The e-book is one of three released as part of the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum's DesignFiles.
In the book, I trace the story of how these small, decorative purses became deeply embedded in nineteenth-century popular culture. The e-book contains 29 images of objects in the collections of the Cooper-Hewitt Museum and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and a video demonstration on how to use a miser’s purse.
