Why am I smiling? 'Cause Lynnie and I snagged some great gear from the recently revived casual wear company, Camp Beverly Hills! Never heard of 'em? Here are the deets: The company was founded on Rodeo Drive in 1977 by three movie producers who had nothing to wear, or so the story goes. They stocked the store with vintage military surplus pieces, and stamped them with the now famous CBH logo.
The brand quickly became a pop culture phenomenon, and was worn by countless celebrities, including Drew Barrymore (see above – how cute!) and Jane Fonda in her fitness studio. CBH re-launched this past January, re-issuing their iconic logo T-shirt and adding other great basics to their men's, women's and children's lines, as well as opening an online boutique. (Follow the company's developments plus score free gear on their blog.)
Lynnie and I remember CBH from when we were tots, and were psyched when they asked us to sample their new wares. We received the Sunset Teal Tank ($22.00), Doheny Violet Off The Shoulder Sweatshirt ($30.50), and Roxburry White Running Shorts ($26.00) this afternoon, just in time for the weekend. They looked so comfy-cozy that I put them on immediately. (Sorry, Lynnie!)
All three pieces are made from super soft cotton and fit fabulously. That said, the line runs small, so I recommend ordering a size up.
Three hours later, I still haven't taken them off... and may not ever!
