F4T: "Ballgowns: British Glamour Since 1950" at the V&A

The Victoria and Albert Museum re-opens their recently renovated fashion galleries this spring with "Ballgowns: British Glamour Since 1950," a two-floor display of more than sixy ballgowns, red carpet evening dresses, and catwalk couture pieces designed for private parties, premieres, royal balls, and state occasions. Among the dresses on view are works by Alexander McQueen, Jenny Packham, and Zandra Rhodes, who designed the above dress to wear the the opening of London's Barbican Centre in 1982. The show opens May 19th and runs through January 2013.
