Hot or Not? See-Through Shoes

Love a little cleavage? How about full frontal? (I'm talking about feet, of course.) This season, designers have turned once-covering shoes, like ankle booties and ballerina flats, sheer with fine layers of mesh and net.

Two of the more popular renditions of this trend are Maison Martin Margiela's Sheer Trunk Boots ($1,045.00, above) and Cheap Monday's Point Net Flats ($60.00, below). (The former loved by fashion editors, the latter by fashion bloggers, natch.)

But Lynnie and I are all about real-world style, and doubt these see-through stunners would make it through a day in NYC. (Could you imagine the grime that would get on your feet?! Yuck!) Still they may be fun for occasional wear, but I digress...

S.S.W. Asks: Would you dare to bare in see-through shoes? Comment below or on our Facebook or Twitter pages.
