F4T: "Diana: Glimpses Of A Modern Princess" at Kensington Palace

Before Kate Middleton came to court, the world was obsessed with the late Princess Diana. Sneak a peek at the life of the people's princess at Diana: Glimpses Of A Modern Princess, on view in the recently refurbished Kensington Palace, Diana's former home. The exhibition showcases five of Princess Di's most iconic outfits are through September 2012. The dresses include an ivory Elizabeth and David Emanuel gown worn by Diana on her first official outing with Prince Charles (top left), a black taffeta floor-length gown also by Emmanuel, Diana's favorite designer (top right), and a fuchsia and purple silk chiffon sari dress (below). The dresses are displayed alongside tribute wallpaper and sketches of Diana. According to the exhibition's curator, Deirdre Murphy, the exhibition offers visitors, "a fresh perspective on one of the most photographed women in the world, who had a significant influence on British style and fashion."
