Adventures: Design x Fashion Show

Fresh off of Bridal Fashion Week, I popped into the Design x Fashion Show at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia this Saturday to see the work of current Philadelphia University fashion design students. The show was part of the Philadelphia Science Festival, and celebrated the connections between fashion, design and science. Set in the Academy's awesome Dino Hall (above), students presented science and design-inspired garments made from alternative materials -- think bubble wrap and burlap rather than silk and wool -- and there were a many promising designers in the bunch. Check out select designs here and share your thoughts below or on Facebook and Twitter!
