Fab Finds: Scotch Naturals Nail Polish

I first learned of Scotch Naturals polish in this month's Prevention magazine. Truth be told, I didn't have high hopes for eco-friendly nail polish and cynically wondered if it was made from puréed kale or something. That said, I must now admit that I am really impressed with the Scotch Naturals line. The company makes non-toxic (read: metal and solvent free) polish that dries faster and lasts longer than conventional polishes and conditions your nails as you wear it. (Yes, it really is some sort of miracle nail polish.) The polish comes in an array of great shades ranging from pretty pastels to cool grays for $15.00 a bottle. (You can also stock up with their three-polish Cocktail Trio for $48.99.) And when it finally does chip off, you can remove the remainder with their equally non-toxic soy nail polish remover ($11.99).

S.S.W. Asks: Do you use environmentally friendly and/or non-toxic beauty products? If so, what products do you recommend?

I like those colors, too! A bit of a splurge for nail polish, but sounds like ti may be worth it!

I hadn't thought about natural nail polish except for kids who always put their fingers in their mouth (I suppose that's me too ;)

I use trader joe's bath products which are sulfite free and not tested on animals. I'm not sure about environmentally friendly, but I do recycle the bottles!

If the colors look as good on as they do in the bottle, the bar for eco-friendly has just been set REALLY high!

This does sound like a miracle nail polish. The eco-friendly products have definitely come a long way in the last several years. Hopefully they'll continue to improve...

I love Butter, and Zoya, too-it feels good to know you're not slathering your nails in toxic chemicals!
