F4T: Here Come the Brides

If you enjoy wedding gown exhibitions like those in our last "Fashion for Thought" post, you're in luck. We have three more bridal exhibitions for you to feast your eyes upon...

London bound this summer? Pop by Buckingham Palace to get a first hand look at the Duchess of Cambridge's (nee Kate Middleton's) magnificent gown designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

If you're visiting Monaco over the next few months, you can see Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco's wedding clothes at the Oceanographic Museum through November 22, 2011.

Staying stateside? Visit Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens, the former home of the American art collector and socialite Marjorie Merriweather Post, in our nation's capital for the exhibition Wedding Belles: Bridal Fashions from the Marjorie Merriweather Post Family, 1874-1958. On view through January 2012, the show explores how three generations of Post family women celebrated their wedding day with gentility, grace and style.

S.S.W. Asks: Have you or will you visit these exhibitions? Comment below or on our Facebook or Twitter pages.

I really want to visit Kate Middleton's dress at Buckingham Palace, and seeing as though I'm working in London this summer, maybe I should?

Did you hear that the Queen of England remarked that she did not like to see Kate's dress with no one in it and thought that it was 'horrid' when she went to view it?
I don't think that she expected to be overheard, but it is a little spooky.

Ah I wish you would have posted this earlier, I was in London last week! Nevertheless, beautiful dresses. I'm a big fan of Vera Wang, so I'm really into bridal dresses.

must have been awesome walking through these exhibitions! Never been to one before though. Mine was a vintage one but not as lovely as the one that my mom wore.
