Warm and Fuzzy

Animal hides have been used since ancient times to keep warm; now, with the availability of faux options, we can stay toasty without sacrificing our furry friends. From cropped tops to mini skirts, bracelets to vests, designers have taken fur from caveman to cool.

Here are our favorites for fall....

Oh my goodness, I've been obsessing over a faux leopard print jacket for so long, I just haven't found the perfect one in my price range. Here's hoping this winter I hit the jackpot and find the right one.

I recently arrived home from a brief stopover in Singapore where I spent sometime debating whether or not to purchase a faux-leopard fur stole from Mango. As I live in the fairly temperate climate of Auckland, NZ, I eventually decided against the purchase... though I've been dreaming of it ever since!

I'm such a sucker for trapper hats, and I also love that very first one - these are *great* faux fur picks!

I struggle with faux fur-I have such beautiful real fur pieces from serious, scary winters in upstate NY and Maine that the faux stuff just doesn't seem to work as well! Although I am drooling over that adorable vest...

I must admit I'm sort of in love with that trapper hat! The days when it is so freezing that just taking the dog for a walk can make my heart stop are not that far away and that hat looks very cozy and warm.
