Navajo, yo.

While Lynnie was busy buying clutches, I purchased a pair of gold Jack Rogers Navajo sandals for an upcoming (and much needed) vacation. The "Navajo" name acknowledges the sandal's Native American inspiration, seen explicitly in its whipstitch trim. The shoes are handmade from super-soft leather, and they are incredibly sturdy and comfortable (even after wearing them around NYC for a day). I'm a big fan of all fashion from the 1960's, and the shoes still channel that vibe (as the legendary First Lady and fashion icon, Jackie Kennedy, donned them during that decade - see the super small b&w image on the bottom right). While I scored a pair in gold metallic, the sandals are available in a wide variety of colors.

Buying tip: I scored my pair - sans shipping & handling and tax - from Piperlime for $89. Other websites offered the shoe at a lower price, but those tempting low digits excluded s&h/tax, which (in some cases) added almost $20 onto the final price! Also of note, these sandals run a bit narrow. If your foot is on the wider side, I would recommend ordering half a size up from your normal size to give yourself a bit of wiggle room.

Happy shopping!

Jackie
