Welcome to the first installment of Ask and Receive! We received this inquiry from Citychic77…I purchased this really cute dress* for a wedding I have coming up...I'm wondering what color shoes I should get? Gold or brown (dyed to match)?

As a matter of personal taste, I do not advocate for matching your dress exactly. (You're not going to your prom, after all, so no dyeables). If you do like the color of your dress and shoes to match, I recommend varying your textures to give the outfit some dimension.
As you will be attending a wedding, I will assume that you are an uber sophisticated woman (based on your choice of dress) and you should be decked out accordingly.
No matter the color, I suggest a classic pump with no ankle straps. As the dress is knee length, an ankle strap will only shorten your leg.
